Happy Birthday, Andrew Carnegie!

Industrialist, rags-to-riches tycoon, philanthropist and catalyst behind some 2,800 public libraries, Andrew Carnegie is the perennial inspiration to countless would-be and actual success stories. Born 171 years ago today, on Nov. 25, 1835, Carnegie still touches millions of people -- young, old, rich, poor, plus folks of all ethnicities, religions, cultural backgrounds, etc.

One of Carnegie's most indelible marks -- at least in the heads and hearts of ProsperNOW fans -- was challenging Napolean Hill [of 1937 publishing classic "Think and Grow Rich" fame] to undertake his 20-year quest to uncover the secrets of success. What was Carnegie's secret to achieving staggering success? As Joe Vitale, author of the best-selling book, "Spiritual Marketing," reports in "The Attractor Factor," it was the ability to operate his own mind.

"I am no longer cursed by poverty because I took possession of my own mind, and that mind has yielded me every material thing I want, and much more than I need," Carnegie confessed to Hill. "But this power of mind is a universal one, available to the humblest person as it is to the greatest."

Before Carnegie's death on August 11, 1918, he'd given away most of his vast fortune for the establishment of libraries, schools and universities in America, Scotland and worldwide.

CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta Connects Happiness and Health

'Tis the season to be happy -- right? While some Scrooges might diss these two holiday-filled months as little more than stress, angst, gluttony, commercialism and eye-blinding glitter, others are promoting happiness.

Folks like Dr. Sanjay Gupta, for instance. Gupta is a board-certified neurosurgeon who serves as senior medical correspondent for CNN's health and medical unit, produces the half-hour "House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta" program each weekend, and covers breaking medical news.

This morning's segment, "Happiness and Your Health" [8:30 a.m. EST], was, in itself, an inspiring program. Replete with credible info about the power of meditation, laughter, exercise and yoga to promote happiness, the show left viewers with the notion that they could actually create joy for themselves and, thus, generate good health; e.g., reduced stress, stronger immune system.

Dr. Gupta's guests included Barry Kerzin, a doctor and American Buddhist monk, whose focused meditation practice -- up to 12 hours per day -- generates bliss that shows up in an area of the brain where researchers think happiness lives: the left prefrontal cortex. Somehow, Kerzin and others well practiced at meditation can manipulate their feelings to last for minutes and minutes and minutes, sustained over time.

Other guests included Richard Davidson, a mind-body connection expert; Daniel Gilbert, Harvard University professor and author of "Stumbling on Happiness"; and Dan Gottlieb, radio talk-show host and family therapist.

Suffice to say, the show is must-see TV for anyone who aims to create happiness for their spirits, minds and bodies. The good news? It airs again tomorrow [Sunday, Nov. 19], at 8:30 a.m. EST on CNN. If you happen to miss the broadcast, you'll find the show's complete transcript here:

Even better news: Tomorrow evening, at 10 p.m. EST, Dr. Gupta's one-hour special, "Happiness and Your Health: The Surprising Connection," will expound on the mind-body link between happiness and health. Tune in! If you happen to miss that, too, here's the transcript:

Derek Gehl Introduces "Search Marketing Lab" to Help Online Marketers Fight the Search Engines -- and Win!

OK, the not-so-good news is that Internet Marketing Center's special $2.95 trial offer of its popular "Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet" expired Nov. 15. The good news is that IMC's CEO, Derek Gehl, has rolled out a new program, "Search Marketing Lab," to help Internet marketers prosper in unprecedented ways.

If you want to maximize your profits by driving an endless stream of eager shoppers to your website -- without spending a PENNY to get them -- then nothing beats the free search engines; e.g., Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. But here's the kicker: According to a recent AOL study, a whopping 89.7% of people searching the Internet NEVER look past the first page of search results!

Now, in the past, it seemed that getting to that coveted top spot in the search engines was half rocket science, half voodoo magic. And it could take months -- even years -- to see any real results. But all that has changed! Let me explain...

I was recently talking to Derek, and he was telling me about the success he was having with his own search-engine strategies. You see, working with his in-house experts -- all of whom work with IMC customers daily to improve their traffic and sales -- they came up with a set of strategies for getting your site to #1 on ALL the major search engines. These strategies are SO easy to use, even a complete "newbie" could do it.

Well, then Derek had these strategies tested out on his newest website, www.auctiontips.com. Here's what happened: After just 26 days, he was already sitting at the #2 spot on Google -- out of a whopping 36,000,000 results!

Now, just in case you think that this can only work for Internet gurus and other so-called "web-savvy" entrepreneurs, take a look at how these same strategies have been working for Derek's other customers, who are regular people just like YOU:
>> Peter B. increased his sales by 40% while chopping his ad budget in HALF, thanks to the #1 spot Derek's strategies got him on Google. He's now selling $1.2 MILLION in services a year!
>> Dave U. not only has the #2 spot on Google, he's ALSO #1 on MSN -- and that's out of a staggering 9,070,000 results
>> Alex D. is now getting an extra 15,650 visitors a MONTH, because Derek's team swooped in and grabbed the #1 slot on Google -- right out from under his toughest competitors' noses. Now, he's earning $100,000 a MONTH!
>> Julian and Jane B. got an extra 46,732 visitors in just one month -- all of whom showed up with their wallets in their hands -- after taking the #2 spot on Google. Just imagine how much more they'll get when they hit #1!
>> Nick J. got "greedy" and swiped the top TWO spots on Yahoo! -- out of 4,910,000 results.

Derek's system can do the same for you! To find out how, just go to: http://www.marketingtips.com/searchmarketinglab/t/895093

Good luck with your rankings!

P.S.: Need MORE proof that Derek can deliver the goods when it comes to getting your website to the top of the search engines? Check this out: One of the most competitive keywords in his industry is "Internet Marketing." It gets literally millions of searches a month, and there are over 452,000,000 competing websites. He's currently at #2 on Google. 'Nuff said...
