In a recent CBS News poll ["Americans Anxious About Their Retirement Savings"], 41 percent of Americans reported that they don't think they'll be financially ready to retire when they want to.
Regardless of your politics, the reality is that the 2007-2009 recession hit our economy hard -- so hard, in fact, that many folks' 401[k] plans and home values are just beginning to recover from devastating losses incurred before the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act [ARRA] took hold to fuel U.S. economic growth.
