'The Secret Gratitude Book': #10 Wealth-Building Holiday Gift Idea for 2007

NOTE: This is one of 10 holiday gift ideas for enriching your own life, and/or that of others, in myriad ways. Goal: To redefine what it truly means to prosper -- now, in 2008, and well into the future.

It's no secret that we're big fans of Rhonda Byrne's best-selling self-help book, "The Secret." For this revolutionary endeavor, producer-author Byrne assembled dozens of masters in several fields -- e.g., metaphysics, psychology, spirituality, finances, entrepreneurship -- to address the power of the Law of Attraction. Since last year's release of the DVD and book, these "teachers" have inspired millions of people across the globe.

Now, there's a 2008 calendar and a journal, called "The Secret Gratitude Book." This elegant, limited-edition, hardcover book -- replete with a magnetic flap to afford its owner with a certain modicum of privacy -- delivers additional insights and affirmations regarding the Law of Attraction, plus the importance of expressing gratitude for life's daily blessings. Each day, you'll be able to record what you're currently grateful for and have the opportunity to align with your Gratitude Intentions.

James Arthur Ray Promotes "Thanks Living"
In the Thanksgiving 2007 issue of his weekly "High Velocity" newsletter, James Arthur Ray, CEO of James Ray International and one of "The Secret''s prestigous teachers, shared his thoughts about what he calls "Thanks Living" -- a practice that his father, a Protestant minister, taught to his family and parishioners:

"It's definitely no accident that a major portion of my teaching in 'The Secret' is centered on gratitude. Likewise, I devoted an entire chapter to this technology [and I use that term intentionally] in my book, 'The Science of Success.'

"While some who don't understand the power of energy, vibration and attraction may think that gratitude is not a big deal, I can promise you that...

"Gratitude is the mother of creative vibrations.
You see, when you're grateful for what you currently have in your life, it focuses you on the best. And that puts you in a vibration [feeling] to attract and receive more of the best. When you have a lack of gratitude in your life, you're focusing on the worst, and that puts you in a vibrational feeling that attracts to you more of the worst.

"Life is a self-fulfilling prophecy and YOU are the prophet.
Now, as you stop and think about this, it's very practical. Think about the person who's constantly ungrateful and full of complaints and problems. Do you want to be around them... much less help them? Probably not. Conversely, think of someone you know who's constantly grateful and appreciative in life. Same question: Do you want to be around them? Would you like to help this person if possible? Probably so.

"The Universe and all its inhabitants line up in support of the person who's in a vibration of gratitude.
Here's my recommendation as you move into the holidays this year: Make the theme of the holiday season 'giving thanks.' While eating turkey and watching football may be the norm around your household, sit down for a least a few minutes and have each family member [including you] list out loud at least three things that you're grateful for. You'll be amazed at how positively this affects the energy in your household. Who knows... you may find it addictive, and you'll find yourself one step closer to 'Thanks Living.'"

James Arthur Ray Reminds Us to 'Do Certain Things in a Certain Way' in Order to Achieve Total Success

Every Sunday, I look forward to receiving James Arthur Ray's "High Velocity" e-zine newsletter articles. They're always informative and inspiring, and help me rev up for the week ahead.

Yesterday's newsletter was no exception. In it, he reminded subscribers how rewarding it is -- creatively, financially, spiritually, etc. -- to be "in the zone."

Doing Certain Things in a Certain Way

By James Arthur Ray
President/CEO, James Ray International

If you think back to times in your life when you truly succeeded, whether in the financial, relationship, intellectual, physical or spiritual arenas, you'll see that you were doing things in a certain way.

If you're like most people, you may not even have known what you were doing that worked so well! Often, we aren't consciously aware of when we are "in the zone." It just happens.

Even when we succeed, we're not sure why. We don't know how we did it, so we're not sure we can repeat it. We have no idea what the formula was -- so we have no idea if we'll ever succeed again. And sometimes we don't repeat it, or we lose the good that we've brought to ourselves, or we're successful in one area of life and not in another.

We can only become consistently successful when we understand what causes success and can repeat those patterns of thinking and acting at will. In other words, you must become consciously competent.

It's like having the combination to a lock... all the numbers and all the spins. If you do it right, the lock opens every single time! These "numbers and spins" of success in all areas will be the center of our conversation in this program.

In the meantime, think about the times you have been totally successful in any area: What was your thought process at the time? What were you focused on? What type of action were you taking? Were you risk-averse or risk-driven? Were you uncertain about yourself and your abilities, or were you certain? Remember, like causes produce like effects.

Lost Genius Reveals How to Write Sales Materials That Sell [or "Bruce Barton's Six Points for Writing Ads"]

Editor's Note: You've likely heard of Dr. Joe Vitale -- best-selling author [e.g., "The Attractor Factor," "Life's Missing Instruction Manual"] and teacher/cast member in "The Secret" -- the international hit film, book, audiobook and DVD. Well, he's also a spiritual marketer, copywriting star and CEO of Hypnotic Marketing Inc. ProsperNOW is proud to present the following article that Joe wrote about Bruce Barton [1886-1967], one of his idols.

By Joe Vitale

Bruce Barton was a celebrity in the 1920s. He was a best-selling author, confidant to presidents, master copywriter, philanthropist, congressman, and cofounder of the largest advertising agency in the world, BBDO.

He helped five men become U.S. presidents. He wrote a fund-raising letter that got a 100% response. The only book ever written on Barton and his ideas is
"The Seven Lost Secrets of Success." I recently discovered Barton's six points for writing ads, which he probably delivered in a speech in the early 1930s. Here they are, as Bruce Barton himself delivered them:

1. The theme. "A lot of time and money is wasted by our failure to think through and get a theme before we start. The theme ought to be based on two principles -- first, that a man is interested in himself; and second, that he is interested in other people.

"Our formula for Every Week [magazine] was Youth, Love, Success, Money, and Health -- all things in which people are vitally interested."

2. Interesting headlines. "I think any public notice I may have had has come from titles. Nobody was more surprised than I when
"The Man Nobody Knows" became a bestseller. The title is what sold the book."

Barton also mentioned that when he edited magazines, he often used provocative titles to stir up controversy and interest. Examples included, "Why I never hire any woman under 30," "How my wife has hindered me in business," and the other side of the question, "How my wife has helped me in business." These interesting headlines guaranteed readership.

3. The visualization. Barton didn't elaborate on this. But I'm sure he was referring to the layout of any sales piece. He once said, "A picture is worth two pages of type, and a headline is worth almost all the rest of the ad put together."

For Barton, the illustration, headline, and body copy made up the layout, or visualization, of any sales piece.

4. The copy. "The introduction can be eliminated almost always. The mind starts cold when you begin to write, and you don't get into high until the second or third paragraph. Cut out the introduction, and then you have a good, hot start.

"Another elementary fundamental of advertising is to make the copy fit the space. To this day, I never write a piece of copy without counting the words. The picture, the headline, and the layout should be set before you begin the copy. To me, writing the copy before you have visualized the layout is backwards."

5. Adjectives. "After you finish a piece of copy, go back and cut out all the adjectives. Henry Ward Beecher's father was once chairman of a committee to draw up resolutions on slavery. One sentence in his resolution read: 'It is an outrage.' Someone suggested that it should read: 'It is a terrible outrage.' Beecher said that was the way he had it in his first draft, but he had cut out the word 'terrible' for the sake of emphasis.

"Adjectives are like the leaves on a switch. They make the switch look pretty, but if you want to hit a blow that will cut, you take off the leaves. Literature that cuts has very few adjectives. The greatest things in life are expressed in one-syllable words -- love, hate, fear, home, wife, child."

6. A purpose. "We should never write an ad without the idea that something is going to happen. What do we want the reader to do? Write with the conviction that he is going to do something when he gets through reading -- go to the store and buy; clip the coupon and mail it.

"And remember the power of the direct command. Don't say, 'If you would like this beautiful booklet, we will be glad to send it.' Say, 'Sit down right now and fill in this coupon.' People want things made easy; they want you to make up their minds for them."

Here's an example of a direct command... For the complete collection of Joe Vitale's most popular products on the subject of hypnotic writing and marketing, order his Hypnotic Library today!

James Arthur Ray Boosts Creativity to a "T"

Every week, James Arthur Ray -- CEO of James Ray International, and a teacher/cast member of the hit film/DVD, "The Secret" -- sends his "High Velocity E-Zine" subscribers tips on how to rev up their lives -- financially, relationally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. This week's lesson is on boosting creativity. Here's what he advised subscribers to do...

"First, I am going to assume you have a goal that you want to achieve. If not, that's the first step. You need to decide what you want to create in your life. Make sure it's big, bold and exciting.

"Once you have your goal, get a blank piece of paper and draw a large 'T' on it, so that it fills up the entire page. On the left side, I want you to write, 'Why I Can't.' And on the right side of the 'T,' I want you to write, 'How I Can.'

"As with anything in life, there are obviously several reasons why you can't. But the reality is that these reasons are nothing more than dream stealers and energy drainers. They will keep you from realizing your goals and dreams. So, on the left side of the paper, put a big 'X.' Once you've drawn the 'X.' there's no room for the ideas as to why you can't.

"Now, get busy... From this moment on, only allow yourself to focus on all the reasons it will work, or all the creative ways you can accomplish your goal. Get as many as you can. No idea is a bad idea, and you can edit them later. When your mind begins to wander into how it won't work or can't be done, pull out the weeds and get right back to the actions that will bring you your fruit."

Cool, huh? Now, DO IT!

James Arthur Ray's "Collapse the World" Is His Latest Breakthrough Guided Meditation/Creation Program

Eliminate stress. Look younger. Feel more rested, more peaceful and happy... Now, I know you may be thinking this is the airy-fairy language of the personal-development movement, but the new physics is proving what the mystical traditions have told us for thousands of years. And one of the practices that's demonstrated its effectiveness, time and time again, is meditation -- proven by Western science to increase whole-brain thinking.

In fact, recent research at Harvard and other Ivy League universities has established that meditation -- in addition to guaranteeing an increased sense of calm and well-being and a myriad of other spiritual benefits -- actually increases the prefrontal cortex of your brain. On top of that, people who meditate show dramatic increases in what is called "whole-brain thinking."

Research in life-longevity proves that people with less stress in their lives and lower blood pressure -- which are closely related -- live longer and more fruitful lives. Furthermore, 20 minutes of deep meditation has been shown to be the equivalent of 2 hours of sleep!

Now, I challenge you to join the adventure...

Collapse the World is James Arthur Ray's latest breakthrough guided meditation/creation program. Simply put, it will "collapse" your current limitations -- whatever they may be -- and teach you how to create outrageous results, both spiritually and materially. There's absolutely nothing like it out there.

* How to connect with your "Higher Council" -- that transcendent part of you that has all answers to all questions at all times...
* How to utilize a process called "etheric imprinting" to profoundly accelerate the results you produce in every area of your life...

Collapse the World will allow you to eliminate virtually all the stress in your life...increase your feeling of fulfillment...dramatically lengthen your lifespan...and feel happy, peaceful and content the entire time!
